GPEG was established in May 2005 as a Joint Venture between Asia and Europe. SMARTrade™ offers flexible business models to meet the diverse supply requirements of today’s global market. All of GPEG’s personnel are experienced in both Western and Eastern business culture. The Company Ethos is 'trustworthiness, reliance, assurance and confidence' all of which have been key attributes in the successful careers of GPEG’s management and staff.

Nick How is the CEO and is based at the HQ in London. Nick, qualified as an Electronic Engineer, has more than 15 years experience with in the displays industry. Starting out in a technical role Nick quickly moved to product development, then technical sales, then operations and finally onto management. Nick has 8 years executive experience at board level in Asian manufacturing companies, European sales companies as well as a European venture backed material science company.

Dave Webbing is GPEG’s Sales director. Dave like Nick is also a qualified Electronic Engineer. Dave started life in R&D where he worked for 4 years before choosing the challenges of a more commercial role. Initially selling display products in the UK then Europe wide, Dave has technically and commercially supported different size customers across Europe in a wide range of industries. For the last 4 years Dave has worked directly for Chinese and Taiwanese factories, selling their products and capabilities to key strategic customers in Europe.

Andreas Behr is the Managing Director of GPEG in Germany based in Munich. With a degree in Industrial Science, Andreas started his career as a production engineer in a large electronic manufacturing company before moving on to a technical sales position with a German distribution company. Prior to taking up the position with GPEG, Andreas was Managing Director of an International Displays distributor. Andreas has over 15 years experience in the Electronics industry and has spent the last 5 both technically and commercially supporting major customer throughout Europe.

GPEG’s driving force is the ever increasing need for trade between East and West. The electronics industry is changing quicker than any other; driven by technology, consumer requirements and the exponential increase of high volume, low cost production in Asia and Eastern Europe. GPEG’s niche is to cater for the diverse supply requirements of this changing industry allowing European companies to be ensured the right product, at the right price, delivered on time to the right location.
