MARKETbuilder in its most basic sense is a business incubator. Once a market is identified and a business plan is agreed the below actions are implemented by GPEG to agreed timescales.
Initially the JV Company is setup whereby the SME has the majority share, thus enabling the SME to retain the vast majority of their investment. Within the first few months the below actions are implemented.
- Marketing material is re-branded to be appropriate for the target territory.
- Business cards, sales literature, website etc. are prepared.
- A dedicated Program Director is assigned.
- Applications engineers are hired as required.
- Complete factory training is undertaken by the new JV staff.
- Sales targets are set.
Once the company is set up Marketing is carried out to maximise the impact of the new campaign.
- Lead customers and prospects are identified.
- Mail shots and PR is implemented.
- Advertising / exhibition budgets and strategy are agreed.
- CRM (Customer relationship management) and sales management tools are setup to enable on-line ‘real-time’ situation reports to be viewed at will by the SME.
While the marketing drive is ongoing, the sales force are trained, directed, and motivated. Within only a few months of the contract being signed the JV team will start the selling process.
