The installation of LCD panels on bins in the streets of London is helping City workers overcome issues with poor connectivity.
Designed by Renew, the bins feature an LCD screen on both sides displaying the latest stock market information, content from the Economist and the status of Tube connections.
Robin Hepburn, a senior member of the team at financial communications company Waughton, told MailOnline it has taken five years for the project to get to this stage.
"There are currently 25 units (that's 50 screens) around the City with a view to 75 more being installed between now and the Olympics," he explained,
Mr Hepburn said the next stage may be to use the bins, which are all equipped with Wi-Fi, to boost connectivity.
"We've been told that during rush hour it's sometimes difficult to get internet at stations like Waterloo because of the huge volume of smart phones in use," he added.
Late last year, London become home to the first digital street furniture network in the UK with the launch of screens at 100 bus stops across the capital.
Clear Channel, which launched the digital signage, expects the screens to generate 10.8 million impressions per week.
