GPEG Ltd today announced the launch of its super-tough, yet elegant ‘PERGO’ touchmonitor solution for retail environments. Capturing all the elements required by today’s rapidly evolving retail environment has been the main goal of the design, with the 12.1” based unit being derived from significant customer input. The PERGO12 for example is capable of implementation in areas previously thought out-of-bounds for such terminals courtesy of its tough metal construction, lockable stand and optional toughened glass overlay.

The overlay option enables the removal of a traditional keyboard or mouse, and is replaced by a sealed 6mm thick touch overlay. The overlay can resist the toughest of treatments in any supervised or un-supervised environment. Measuring only 300x240x240 the unit can be fitted both on top and underneath a countertop. Supplied with power block and VGA input cables the unit makes an ideal alternate to flimsy plastic housed units that are prone to damage, costly repair and the inconvenience of replacement.
