Typical to what we find when customers try to work directly in Asia is a lack of in depth understanding of a customers real need. Our customer approached us to help optimise an existing solution with in an existing molded part. We re-developed the drivers used in the system by making a compact COF design, gained significant extra area on the screen, and enabled a lower power backlight through micro-lens molding. This resulted in a 40% power reduction and 20% more useable area without an increase in cost.
