Our customer approached us with a faded drawing and a single sample of a 30 year old VFD design that had to be reproduced faithfully for use in a legacy vehicle still in production.
Using our internal 3D design team we re-created models and a compkete solution to mimic the old design. This was tested and tuned to match the existing dashboard moldings and an injection mold tool developed. The coloured filter was optically matched and sourced along with a colour matched VFD to provide a 100% copy of the previous product.
